Welcome to the web site of renowned Dorset painter, Angela Kernan.
Using mixed media to create contemporary vibrant images, her work features plants found in her own colourful garden in Colehill, Wimborne, in the South of England, together with paintings inspired by the Dorset Landscape and local events such as Wimborne Folk Festival and the local markets.
Angela has been exhibiting at The Mulberry Tree Gallery, Swanage.
During the COVID-19 Lockdown, Angela has been busy, finding renewed energy from the events emerging around her.
She has developed a fresh approach and found inspiration from her pet Jack Russell dog, Buddy, her constant companion, sometime model and always ‘muse’, as well as other animals.
These are some of her new works, as yet untitled, but shown here as examples of her evolving style.
